NDIR Measurement Principle
NDIR technology operates on the principle that gas molecules absorb infrared radiation at specific wavelengths. Each gas has a unique absorption wavelength within the infrared spectrum, allowing precise identification.
The gas sample is introduced into a cuvette of a defined length, optimized for accurate measurement. A bandpass filter ensures that only the specific wavelength corresponding to the target gas reaches the infrared detector.
The detector then measures the amount of infrared light absorbed, and the absorption spectrum is analyzed to determine the gas concentration with high precision
